Kuruva is a natural and traditional rice variety from Wayanad in Kerala, which is 100 + years old, with the initial seeds being passed through generations. Since 2015, we have been growing Kuruva organically at Thumboor Paddies. The rice is milled with bran and boiled separately, preserving its nutritious properties. It has a nutty and mild taste and is chewier. A good source of Vitamin B, high in nutritional fiber and antioxidants, and it is commonly considered to be red rice.
